Description: Round wall plaque, Indian studio work, depicting Krishna with a female figure who may be his mother of adoption, Jasoda, or his lover Radha. Buff coloured stoneware body; footrim; covered with brown and coloured metallic oxides; thin, transparent glaze; centre of plate with design of Krishna seated with his back against an ox or buffalo, seated female figure facing him; border of dancing male figures with a stick in each hand, flowers between each figure. Inscription on back - 2 characters - Arabic?
