Description: Insert or border of tunic; Coptic weaving; late Hellenistic silhouette style; design of ovals within squares with foliate scrolls at each corner outside the oval, alternating with squares: from top: oval containing two animals flanking the tree of life; square containing dancing girl (Bacchantes?) with an altar-like pedestal on her right side and a vine-plant on her left side; oval containing 2 bird-like creatures; square containing dancing girl; wool on wool; rib weave; slanting weft; colours: purple, crimson, brick yellow; indigo; very little embroidery with the flying needle.
