Double sided processional cross Description: Double sided processional cross, repousse copper on wood. Obverse: Christ enthroned at the centre; the four signs of the Evangelists; three circular spaces for medallions or cameos, and a triangular shape probably for a halo for Christ, all now lost. Reverse: Christ crucified at the centre with painted inscription INRI above; at the top is the cross-bearing lamb, an apostle at each end of the cross beam, and a seated figure at the bottom. Label stuck under cross beam: Collection Forrer Strassburg.
