Description: Gentleman's chair; green velvet upholstered rectangular back and sides (fauteuil en bergere) with flat back (siege a la Reine, in contrast to concave back called siege en cabriolet); upholstered elbow rests; fluted scroll ends to arms; cabriole legs with scroll feet; originally on castors which are missing - see hole under each foot; carved floral motifs on knees and apron; ribbon bows above the cresting; traces of original gilding on frame.
