Shallow dish Description: Blue and white shallow dish similar to 505; provincial coarse porcelain, 'grove porseleinen' in Dutch; grayish body with small footrim covered with grayish-blue glaze; blackish cobalt painted underglaze design consisting of the symbol of the "Three Eternal Friends" which are growing out from the Holy Mountain, (the mountain Mehru is supposed to have risen primarily out of the eternal waters); the exterior is painted with flying birds, schematic and quickly rendered.
