Description: Round martaban (storage jar) ; "Voorraadspotten"; "inflated" type. Brownish stoneware body with coffee brown glaze, dark ochre glaze towards the base; iron spots in glaze; 4 small closed ears near to the neck; base has slight depression in the centre. Chinese characters are inscribed on the shoulder of the martaban. Made in the coastal province of China. Export ware.
