Bowl Description: Bowl, heavily potted white procelain decorated with overglaze polychrome enamels; metal ring on lip. Interior decoration: floral and foliate border under the lip beneath which is a border consisting of upward pointing arrows; the centre of the interior base consists of a lotus medallion with floral border surround; remaining parts are plain green. Exterior decoration: 2 small floral/foliate borders under the lip which are repeated above the footrim; the main border consists of 4 Buddhas on the lotus throne between which are human-headed lions; the space is filled up with the symbols of lightening on a black background; footrim is plain sacrificial red; exterior of the base is undecorated and is pitted. Chinese porcelain most probably made in Ching-te-Chen for export to Siam.
