Description: Setttle with canopy, arms and boxed base; 19th century; in Renaissance style; centre of back with 3 panels carved with biblical scenes each above an inscribed cartouche: left panel depicting Adam and Eve (ADAM UND EVA); centre panel depicting Abraham, Isaac and the angel (ABRAHAM GOT ES HIS WOLT UN); and Moses (MOSES VOM HOGE TDE ERDEN SLA); above the left and right panels is an angels head; above the centre panel is a crowned cartouche with a seated angel on either side; linenfold panels below the carved panels; each side of the back bordered with female figure with folded arms at the top, a satyr mask below which are three flowers; twist turned columns with a satyr mask below each support the canopy which is decorated with dentils and pearl and reed mouldings; lower back and front of seat with linen fold
